KittyLaunch Product Launch Guide

6 min read·April 15, 2026·KittyLaunch

Launching on KittyLaunch is a great way to get exposure, collect feedback, and attract your first users. This guide will help you prepare for launch week, make the most of your launch day, and keep the momentum going after your launch is live.

Before Launch Week

Build interest early

Before your product goes live, make sure you have a clear landing page that explains what your product does and why people should care. Your landing page should be simple, convincing, and focused on conversions.

It is also a good idea to create a waitlist and start collecting emails before launch. When your product goes live, you can email these people and drive immediate traffic to your launch.

Checklist

  • Create a landing page that clearly explains your product
  • Add a waitlist form to collect emails
  • Share your waitlist on social media
  • Add your waitlist link to your email signature
  • Reach out to communities where your target users are active
  • Make a list of TwitterX communities that may be relevant
  • Make a list of subreddits that may be relevant
  • Make a list of Telegram groups that may be relevant
  • Prepare a support list of friends, teammates, and contacts who can help share your launch
  • Write a simple DM template that you can send during launch week

Prepare your launch materials in advance

Do not wait until launch day to create your content. Preparing everything early will make your launch much smoother.

You should get these materials ready before launch week:

  • Social media images for platforms like X and LinkedIn
  • A launch announcement post
  • A short demo video or GIF that shows your product in action
  • An email draft for your users or subscribers
  • A product video uploaded to YouTube, then added to your KittyLaunch page

KittyPilot can help you prepare these materials. It currently supports generating social media images, captions, and email drafts. KittyPilot is free to use.

Choose the right launch day

KittyLaunch runs on a weekly launch cycle. The leaderboard refreshes every Monday based on UTC time.

Although you can choose a launch date on any day of the week, we strongly recommend launching on Monday whenever possible. A Monday launch gives your product the most time to stay visible during that week's ranking period. It also gives more users time to discover your product and support it.

For example, if you launch on Wednesday, your product will only have a few days of visibility before the weekly board resets on the next Monday.

When should you not launch on Monday?

There are cases where launching on a day other than Monday may be the better choice.

If you are launching on multiple platforms and want them to go live at the same time, it can make sense to match your KittyLaunch date with the other platform.

For example, if you plan to launch on Product Hunt on Wednesday, you may also want to launch on KittyLaunch on Wednesday.

This approach can be helpful because:

  • You only need to prepare one set of launch materials
  • You only need to promote your launch once
  • Your audience will not receive multiple launch requests in the same week

This can create a smoother experience for both you and your users.

Add a "Launching Soon" badge

You can add a "Launching Soon on KittyLaunch" badge to your website before launch. This helps build anticipation and lets visitors know that your product will be launching soon.

You can get the badge from your product page.

Create a special deal for KittyLaunch users

Offering a special deal can help your product stand out and improve conversions.

A deal can help you:

  • Get more clicks to your product page
  • Show a "Deal" badge next to your product in the rankings
  • Convert visitors into paying customers

To create a deal, go to: Dashboard > My Product > Product Dashboard > Deals tab

During Launch Week

Promote your launch across channels

Once your product is live, share it everywhere that makes sense for your audience.

You can promote your launch on:

  • X
  • LinkedIn
  • Reddit
  • Telegram groups
  • Facebook groups
  • Discord communities
  • Slack communities
  • Your email list

If you post on X, you can tag @KLaunchHQ and we will repost your launch.

Make sure your posts match the platform and follow each community's rules, especially on Reddit and group based communities.

KittyPilot can also help you create social media posts for launch week.

Share with your personal network

Your personal network can give your launch an important early push.

Reach out directly to:

  • Friends
  • Family
  • Teammates
  • Colleagues
  • Supporters who already know your work

Direct messages usually work better than broad public posts when you are asking for support. You can also ask your team to share the launch with their own networks.

KittyPilot can help you generate DM templates for this.

Stay active during launch

A good launch is not only about posting your link. It is also about being present.

During launch week, try to:

  • Reply quickly to comments and questions
  • Thank people who support your launch
  • Share updates throughout the week
  • Keep the conversation active on social media
  • Support other makers who are launching too

Being active helps build trust and can lead to more engagement for your product.

After Launch Week

Review your results

After launch week, take time to look at what happened.

Pay attention to:

  • Where your traffic came from
  • Which posts or channels performed best
  • What kind of messaging got the most engagement
  • What worked well
  • What you would improve next time

These insights will help you make better launch and marketing decisions in the future.

Keep the momentum going

Your launch does not end after the first week.

KittyLaunch uses rolling leaderboards, which means ongoing support still matters. You can continue getting votes and attention after launch week.

To keep momentum going:

  • Continue sharing updates about your product
  • Stay connected with your community
  • Encourage happy users to support your product
  • Keep improving your product and sharing progress

Show reviews on your website

You can also use reviews from KittyLaunch as social proof.

To do this, go to: Dashboard > My Product > Product Dashboard > Review tab

Select your best reviews and embed them on your site to build trust and increase conversions. This is a simple way to build trust and show real feedback from users.

Final tips

A successful launch usually comes down to three things:

  • Prepare early
  • Promote consistently
  • Stay active and responsive

You do not need a perfect launch to get good results. A clear message, a good product page, and steady promotion can go a long way.

We are excited to see what you launch on KittyLaunch.
