KittyLaunch uses rankings and leaderboards to help users discover active products and trusted creators.
Rankings are based on platform activity, but not every activity is automatically treated as valid forever. KittyLaunch may review suspicious activity and invalidate upvotes when needed to protect the fairness of the platform.
This guide explains how product rankings, creator rankings, weekly awards, dense ranking, and vote rules work.
Why rankings exist
Rankings help users answer questions like:
- Which products are getting attention this week?
- Which products are trending this month?
- Which creators are active and trusted?
- Which products won previous launch weeks?
Rankings also help creators understand how their launch is performing.
Product Leaderboard
The Product Leaderboard displays launches for a selected period.
Available periods may include:
- weekly
- monthly
The product launch date must fall inside the selected period. Normal public leaderboard views use published products that meet the current visibility rules.
Product sorting
Products are sorted mainly by their active weighted upvote total.
If two products have the same total, recent product activity or creation timing may determine their display order on a live leaderboard.
The live leaderboard is separate from the official historical Weekly Award record.
Vote weight
Each qualifying upvote stores the voter's weight at the time of voting.
Current levels are:
- Rookie, Level 1: 0 to 199 RP, vote weight 1
- Explorer, Level 2: 200 to 799 RP, vote weight 2
- Builder, Level 3: 800 to 2,499 RP, vote weight 3
- Maker, Level 4: 2,500 to 4,999 RP, vote weight 4
- Legend, Level 5: 5,000 RP or more, vote weight 5
A product's displayed count reflects vote weight, so it may differ from the number of individual voter accounts.

Creator Leaderboard
The Creator Leaderboard ranks accounts through RP.
RP sources include:
- published products
- received product upvotes
- Reviews
- received Reviews
- Product Comments
- received Product Comments
- creator followers
- product verification
- claimed streak rewards
- other recorded platform actions
Creator periods may include:
- all time
- monthly
- yearly
All-time ranking uses the account's total RP. Period views use RP recorded during that period.

Product Leaderboard and Creator Leaderboard
The Product Leaderboard displays products. The Creator Leaderboard displays accounts.
A maker may have a high-ranking product with a lower creator rank. A long-term contributor may have a high creator rank without leading the current product week.
Weekly Awards
Weekly Awards record the leading launches from each competition week.
The competition uses an ISO week:
- Monday 00:00 UTC
- Sunday 23:59:59 UTC
Products compete in the week assigned by their launch date. The award calculation uses qualifying vote weight from that competition period.
Dense ranking
Weekly Awards use dense ranking.
Example:
- 10 weighted votes, rank 1
- 10 weighted votes, rank 1
- 9 weighted votes, rank 2
- 8 weighted votes, rank 3
Tied products share the same rank. More than three products may receive Top 3 status.
Official results and Hall of Fame
After a weekly result is published, KittyLaunch stores an official record with:
- competition week
- winning product
- official rank
- weekly vote total
The Hall of Fame uses this recorded result. Later live product changes do not rewrite the original award record.
Winner Badges
Official Top 3 products receive a Winner Badge for their recorded rank.
The badge builder may provide:
- Pill
- Chip
- Medal
- Ribbon
- light theme
- dark theme

Invalid votes
KittyLaunch may inspect voting activity and mark a vote invalid.
An invalid vote:
- is removed from the qualifying product total
- does not count toward live rankings
- does not count toward Weekly Awards
The product total may decrease by that vote's stored weight.
Examples of suspicious voting
Examples include:
- fake or throwaway accounts
- automated voting
- paid votes
- forced votes
- vote rings
- repeated activity from the same network
- accounts created to support one product
- traffic patterns linked to manipulation
KittyLaunch may review other signals connected to platform abuse.
Paid plans and Add-ons
Skip the line and SuperKitty affect launch scheduling and plan benefits.
Spotlight and Highlight provide their listed placements.
These purchases do not make votes valid automatically and do not guarantee ranking positions.
FAQ
Why is the product count higher than the number of voters?
The displayed total uses vote weight.
Do all upvotes count toward rankings?
Only valid upvotes count. Suspicious or invalidated upvotes may be removed from product counts and ranking calculations.
Can KittyLaunch invalidate a vote after it appears?
Yes. A vote can appear first and be invalidated later after review.
Why does KittyLaunch invalidate suspicious votes?
To keep rankings fair and protect creators who earn real community support.
Does Featured make my votes more valid?
No. Featured increases visibility, but vote validity is still reviewed under the same rules.
Does a Verified product automatically win?
No. Verification can provide benefits such as trust signals and a system vote, but ranking still depends on valid competition activity.
Can more than three products win Top 3?
Yes. Dense ranking allows ties. If products share rank 1, 2, or 3, more than three products can receive badges.
Why is my product not visible on the leaderboard?
Your product may be outside the selected period, not published, demoted, banned, or not eligible for that leaderboard view.
Can I appeal a moderation decision?
If your product is banned or moderated, you may be able to submit an appeal from your dashboard.
Why is a product missing from a live leaderboard?
Its launch date, publication status, selected period, or current public visibility may not match that view.
