About Intertakt

A fireworks show runs on called cues over its soundtrack — hands on the rail, eyes on the sky. Intertakt runs HIIT and Tabata intervals the same way.

Every fireworks show is shot to music. The soundtrack rolls over the crowd, the crew's hands stay on the firing rail, eyes on the sky — and every shell goes up on a called cue, a voice on the comms naming the moment it leaves. Nobody in a working crew stops mid-show to read anything: the timing arrives by ear, on top of the music, at the exact second it matters.

Intertakt runs interval training on the same arrangement.

Your playlist keeps rolling, the way the show soundtrack does, while the countdown comes as short beeps and a voice calls every HIIT and Tabata round, each change of interval, and the halfway point. Every channel has its own volume: your music stays loud, the cues stay clear, and the two never fight for the same speaker. The phone can lie face-down on the mat or ride in your pocket through every round — a session is built to run dark.

An interruption is a held cue, not a cancelled show. An incoming call or an app switch freezes the round; when you come back, the workout resumes from the exact second it stopped. No restart, no lost round, no rounding up.

The deal fits on the side of the crate: 0 ads, ∞ sessions, 0 accounts. The free tier is the whole timer — unlimited workouts, no ad breaks, no account to create. Premium is a one-time purchase, not a subscription: unlimited custom plans, session history, and JSON export. Bought once, never renewed.

Built with Flutter and offline-first, the timer lives on your phone rather than on a server and works with no signal. English and Russian interface, more languages coming. Intertakt is coming soon to Google Play — the waitlist and founding pricing are open at intertakt.com.

I built Intertakt because every interval timer I tried wanted my eyes: mid-burpee, hands busy, the app still flashing for attention. Intertakt is the opposite — a voice over your music. The screen goes dark, the playlist keeps rolling, and the count arrives by ear: every round, every interval change, the halfway call. An incoming call freezes the round; it resumes from the exact second. Free tier is unlimited — 0 ads, infinite sessions, 0 accounts — and premium is a one-time purchase. Coming soo
