MakerNotch

MakerNotch is a native macOS app for developers who maintain more than one project. Instead of opening GitHub, Vercel, Stripe and Sentry in separate tabs, and switching accounts for each product, you hover your Mac's notch or click the menu bar icon and see how the selected project is doing in one panel.

Each project has its own connections, so you can switch projects without switching accounts. MakerNotch connects to 11 services: GitHub, GitLab, Vercel, Cloudflare Pages, Stripe, Polar, Linear, Sentry, Supabase, DataFast and Resend. You see open pull requests and merge requests, CI and pipeline status, production and preview deployments, payments and revenue, errors, traffic, email and your assigned issues.

You don't need to open the panel to know something changed. With it closed, the notch shows the project's status, such as all clear, CI failing or deploying, plus the time left when a focus session is running. A small blob reacts too: content when everything is fine, sad when something fails, nervous while a build compiles.

There are also rich-text notes, project or shared bookmarks, a focus timer and developer utilities. You can hide and reorder tabs, choose light or dark mode with eight accents, and use the app in English or Spanish.

Privacy is built in. You add a read-only API key for each tool, and MakerNotch checks it before saving it to the macOS Keychain. Requests go straight from your Mac to each provider, with no middleman and no in-app tracking.

It runs on macOS 14 or later, on Apple silicon and Intel, and works on Macs without a notch. MakerNotch costs US$9 once, with no subscription and updates included. A Windows version is in progress.
