This guide covers the full product launch process, from the first product details to the final launch confirmation.
Before you start
Prepare these items:
- product name
- website URL
- tagline
- short description
- full description
- category and tags
- pricing type
- logo
- screenshots
- optional demo video
- first comment
- thank-you note for upvoters
- preferred launch date
You may save a draft and return later.

Open the product form
Sign in to KittyLaunch and select the option to submit a product.
KittyLaunch may ask you to support products from other makers before opening the form. Follow the instructions shown on that screen, then continue to the product form.
The current form has three steps:

- Launch Settings
- Engagement & Deals
Step 1: Core Details
Add the information visitors need to understand your product.
Product identity
Enter:
- Product name
- Website URL
- Tagline
- Short description
- Full description
The website URL identifies the product. Check the domain carefully before publishing. A relaunch does not let you replace this URL.
Use the rich-text editor in the full description for headings, lists, links, and other supported formatting. Describe the problem, the intended users, and the main functions in direct language.
Category, tags, and pricing
Choose the closest category and add relevant tags. Select the pricing type that matches the product.
Avoid unrelated tags. They make discovery less accurate and may lead to moderation.
Logo, screenshots, and video
Upload a clear logo and screenshots that show the product interface or result. Add a demo video URL if one is available.
Review every image before moving to Step 2.
Step 2: Launch Settings
Step 2 contains the Launch Plan, launch date, and badge verification settings.
Choose a Launch Plan
The available plans are:
- Free Launch
- Skip the line
- SuperKitty
Free Launch provides a permanent listing, seven days on the homepage, a queue-based launch date, and three dofollow backlinks for a verified product.
Skip the line includes automatic verification, date selection, launch capacity bypass, three dofollow backlinks, and eligibility for project distribution consideration.
SuperKitty includes the Skip the line launch benefits, seven dofollow backlinks, a free seven-day Spotlight ticket, additional product tools, and distribution consideration. A SuperKitty product that reaches the Top 3 also receives a free Review Article.

Choose a launch option
The screen may offer these choices:
- Save as Draft
- Launch Now
- Next Available Week
- Schedule a Date
Free Launch follows the weekly launch capacity shown in the calendar. Full weeks are marked as full. Monday is recommended because the weekly competition runs from Monday through Sunday in UTC.
Skip the line and SuperKitty allow broader date selection and bypass the normal weekly capacity limit.
If the screen limits your launch choices, follow the verification or plan instructions displayed beside the date controls. You may keep the product as a draft while completing those steps.
Launch Now warning
Launch Now publishes the product on the current date. Launching later in the week gives the product fewer days in the current weekly competition.
The form shows a warning and may suggest the next Monday. Review the date before confirming.
Badge verification
Free Launch products may use badge verification. Copy the badge code shown by KittyLaunch, add it to the product website, and run the verification check.
Skip the line and SuperKitty products receive automatic verification through the paid Launch Plan.

Step 3: Engagement & Deals
Add the message that supports the product after publication.
First comment
Use the first comment to explain:
- why you created the product
- who it serves
- what feedback you want
- what users should try first
The first comment is saved immediately as a Product Comment. It appears for draft, scheduled, and published products wherever the product discussion is available.
Editing the first comment updates the linked Product Comment. Removing the text removes that linked comment.
Thank-you note
Add a short message for users who upvote the product. Keep it useful and specific.
Deal
Verified products may create a Deal in Step 3. Add a real promo code or a custom Deal URL.
A Deal requires a title, discount label, redemption method, and validity acknowledgement. Read Why Add Deals to Your Product for the complete form instructions.
Publish or schedule the product
Review all three steps before selecting the final action.
The result depends on the launch option:
- Draft keeps the product in your Dashboard without a public launch.
- Scheduled stores the chosen launch date.
- Published makes the product live.
After a paid checkout, return to KittyLaunch and allow the confirmation page to finish. Do not close the page while payment is still processing.
Product statuses in the Dashboard
You may see these statuses:
- Draft: The product has not launched.
- Scheduled: The product has a future launch date.
- Published: The product is live.
- Delisted: Public product actions are paused while the website or listing is reviewed.
- Directory: The product has been promoted to KittyDir and is managed through that directory process.
- Banned: The product is blocked because of a serious policy action.

After launch
After publication, use the Product Dashboard to:
- review analytics
- manage Deals
- invite Reviews
- reply to Product Comments
- manage Add-ons
- view the current Launch Plan
- access badges
- review product followers and notifications

Can I save an unfinished product?
Yes. Select Save as Draft and return through the Dashboard.
Can I change the website URL after publishing?
The website URL is tied to the product identity and is restricted after publication. Contact KittyLaunch support if the product moved to a different domain.
Does a paid Launch Plan guarantee Top 3?
Paid Launch Plans do not guarantee Top 3. Rankings use qualifying votes and the current competition rules.
Does the first comment wait for the launch date?
KittyLaunch saves it immediately as a Product Comment.
Why are some launch options disabled?
Read the message beside the launch controls. The product may require verification, an available Free Launch slot, or a paid Launch Plan.
Where do I manage the product after saving it?
Open Dashboard, choose the product, then open its Product Dashboard.
