About GradeBridge Converter

Convert university grades across 53 grading systems with sourced, dated data. See admission-relevant ranges, not false-precise numbers, for international applications.

GradeBridge provides free international grade conversion which allows university students to understand their academic achievements for foreign university admissions. The system transforms grades from 53 international grading systems into the standard classifications which destination universities use for their admissions process. The system produces US GPA equivalents and UK Honours classifications and German numerical scale results and Australian HD/D/C/P/F band equivalents from student grades.

What GradeBridge Does

Enter your grade, choose your home country and your target country, and GradeBridge shows the equivalent range in the destination system. The GradeBridge system uses grade band mapping which replicates credential evaluation methods to handle marking differences between educational systems. A 78% from India is not the same as a 78% from the US, and GradeBridge explains why.

Every result includes:

  • Classification correspondence, such as First Class, Distinction, or 2:1

  • A range, not a single false-precise number, because no two evaluators convert identically

  • Source and check date behind every country's grade bands, usually from Nuffic or Scholaro

  • Confidence levels, so you know how firm the answer is

Key Features

  • 53 grading systems, from India and China to Nigeria, Germany, and the US

  • Country comparison pages for popular routes like India vs US, UK, Canada, and Australia

  • High school grade guidance explaining what happens with A-levels, Class 12, WASSCE, and the Abitur

  • Interactive band exploration, hover or tap to see what each grade band means

  • No signup required, instant access for all users

Who Is It For

GradeBridge is built for international students planning graduate study abroad, especially from India, China, Nigeria, and South Africa. The tool serves admissions advisors and career counselors and recruiters who need to grasp foreign grading systems during their work.GradeBridge helps students seeking admission to US, Canadian, UK, Australian, or German universities identify suitable programs before they spend money and time on official evaluations.

Why It Stands Out

Most converters produce a single deceptive figure while hiding their original data sources. GradeBridge does the opposite: it publishes its methodology in full, deep-links every source, and dates every check. The system shows you when to avoid conversions for school-leaving qualifications because universities verify original transcripts through their own processes. The open design of GradeBridge enables it to function as a reliable planning resource which provides more than basic mathematical functions.

Hey everyone! I built GradeBridge because international students have no easy way to know what their home-country grade means abroad — a 78% in India, a 4.2/5.0 in Nigeria, a 1.8 in Germany. GradeBridge isn't a replacement for an official evaluation like WES — it's the free, instant tool you use before that, to understand your standing and decide if WES is even worth ordering. Feedback welcome, especially on which systems to add next! 🙏
