About MathPal

MathPal is an AI math solver Chrome extension. Drag a box around any problem on your screen and the full worked solution appears beside it, step by step.

MathPal is an AI math solver that lives in your Chrome side panel. Drag a box around any math problem already on your screen and the full worked solution appears beside it — no retyping, no math notation, no switching tabs.

What MathPal Does

Because it reads whatever is on the tab, MathPal handles problems in almost any form: text on a homework site, an equation inside a PDF, a scanned worksheet, even a photo of handwritten work. It works on any page Chrome can display, including PDFs in Chrome's own viewer and assignments in Google Classroom.

Every Solve Returns Four Parts

Each answer follows the same structure, so you always know what you are getting.

  • Problem summary. MathPal restates the captured problem word for word before solving anything. If it misread the question, you see that immediately — not three steps later.

  • Step by step reasoning. Each stage is written out in order, so you can check the working one step at a time instead of trusting a single block of text.

  • Conclusion. A short summary that ties the steps back together.

  • Final answer. Set apart on its own line, in the language you picked.

Key Features

  • Drag to select on any page Chrome can render, including PDFs and Google Classroom.

  • Solutions open in the side panel, beside the work you are already doing.

  • Explanations in 21 languages — keep the problem in its original language and read the reasoning in yours.

  • Sign in and your solution history syncs automatically across the extension, the web app and the iOS app.

  • The web and iOS apps add photo upload and five study modes: Concept, Formula, Practice, Q&A and Advisory.

Who MathPal Is For

Students who need math support after the lesson has ended, and anyone who works through math on a screen.

Why It Stands Out

Most math tools make you type the problem in again. That is slow, and fractions, exponents and multi-part questions are exactly where retyping goes wrong. MathPal removes that step: you show it the problem where you found it, and the solution appears in the same place.

The restatement step is the real difference. Repeating the question word for word before solving lets you confirm the AI read it correctly, which is the one check that makes every step after it worth trusting. It also keeps the focus on following the reasoning rather than copying a number.

The explanations are written in plain language, in the same shape every time, on the pages you already have open. There is no second app to learn and no separate workspace to move into.

Hi everyone — maker here. MathPal started from one small, annoying problem: the math was already on my screen, and every tool still wanted me to type it in again. Fractions and exponents are exactly where that goes wrong. So MathPal reads the problem where it sits. Drag a box around it, the worked solution opens beside it. The part I care most about: it restates your question word for word before solving. If it misread you, you find out on line one, not at step four. Ask me anything.
