About Zipic

Zipic compresses, converts and resizes images on your device. Batch processing, a JSON CLI and an AI agent skill support Mac and Windows Beta.

Zipic is a native image compressor for macOS and Windows (Beta). It helps developers, designers, photographers and writers reduce image size, convert formats and prepare assets without uploading files to a remote server. Processing happens on your own device.

Batch compression and conversion: select images or folders and process them together. Choose compression settings, resize images, strip metadata and work towards a target file size. A side-by-side preview lets you compare the original and result at the same dimensions before saving.

Formats include JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, JPEG XL, TIFF, GIF, PDF, SVG and APNG. Platform-specific icon support includes ICNS on macOS and ICO on Windows. Availability depends on the platform and plan.

Zipic also includes a command-line interface for scripts and AI agents. The CLI returns structured JSON with per-file results, meaningful exit codes and --dry-run previews, so a workflow can see what will happen before processing. Install the agent skill with npx skills add okooo5km/Skills4U --skill zipic, then ask a compatible coding agent to compress a folder, convert images or resize assets.

On macOS, integrations include Finder actions, Apple Shortcuts, Raycast and URL Scheme. Folder monitoring and clipboard automation help with recurring tasks. These capabilities make Zipic useful for preparing screenshots, website assets and other image collections without depending on an upload-based service.

Zipic offers a 7-day Pro trial. After the trial, the free tier supports 25 images per day with basic formats. Pro is a one-time purchase with lifetime updates. macOS requires version 13 or later; the Windows Beta requires Windows 10 or later.
