Upvotes affect product counts, leaderboards, weekly awards, creator RP, Daily Streak progress, and Featured Analytics when the vote comes from Featured placement.
What is an upvote?
An upvote is a public support action for a product.
It helps the product gain visibility and can help other users discover it.
A good upvote should represent real interest. You do not need to be a paying customer, but you should only upvote products you genuinely want to support.
Who can upvote
You must be logged in to upvote a product.
Each user can upvote the same product only once.
If you already upvoted a product, clicking the upvote action again will not create a new vote for daily progress.
Daily upvote limit
Every KittyLaunch user can cast a maximum of 3 upvotes per day. This limit resets at midnight UTC.
The daily limit exists to keep the leaderboard fair and to ensure that product rankings reflect genuine community interest rather than a single user repeatedly boosting one product.
Vote weight explained
Your vote weight depends on your Reputation Points and level.
Higher-level users can have stronger vote weight.
KittyLaunch uses these level and vote weight tiers:

This means that a single upvote from an experienced Level 5 community member contributes 5 points to a product's ranking, the same as 5 individual votes from Level 1 users.
Why vote weight exists
Vote weight rewards trusted long-term contributors.
Users who have earned more RP have usually participated more on KittyLaunch. They may have launched products, reviewed products, gained followers, verified products, or kept Daily Streaks.
Higher vote weight gives active community members more influence while keeping the daily vote limit small.

Why Upvoting Opens the Product's Website
When you upvote a product, KittyLaunch automatically opens that product's website in a new tab.
This is an intentional design choice. An upvote on KittyLaunch is meant to represent genuine interest, not a passive click. By opening the website alongside the upvote, the platform ensures that creators receive actual traffic and potential users alongside their ranking boost, creating real value beyond just a number going up.
Can You Upvote Your Own Product?
Yes. You are allowed to upvote your own product on KittyLaunch. Your vote counts toward your product's ranking just like any other user's vote.
What Happens When You Use All 3 Daily Upvotes?
Using all 3 of your daily upvotes is what counts toward your daily Streak. Once you cast your 3rd upvote for the day, your Streak day is completed and you receive your daily Streak RP bonus. See the Streak System article for full details.
Why an upvote may not count
An upvote may not count if:
- you are not logged in
- you already upvoted the product
- you reached the daily limit
- the product is not eligible
- the vote is later marked invalid
- the product is moderated
- there is a temporary technical issue

Suspicious or invalid upvotes
KittyLaunch may review upvotes for suspicious activity.
Suspicious upvotes may be invalidated.
When a vote is invalidated, the product's count can be reduced by the vote's weight.
Invalid votes do not help rankings, leaderboards, or Weekly Awards.
